Overview
Mercia is kinetic visual novel with around 8k words (not including code).

Premise
After years of living peacefully in an abbey, Uriel is summoned to her family's residence as she is now the only heir. Despite feelings of conflict, she heeds their call. Her only goal — to locate her precious childhood friend.
Her search is impeded by fragmented memories as she revisits places dear to her past self. With a steadfast heart and joyful disposition, her love for music guides her, regardless of the dangers that await.
As the story unfolds, she inches closer to the truth. But at what cost? Will she regain her lost memories? What future awaits her as the new heir? Who is this mysterious girl that seemingly stalks her?

Ahhh where do I start. Well, the piano title screen was beautiful and I love the way it was designed. The voice acting was perfect for a jam game, and I'm impressed that y'all got that much done in such a short time! I absolutely loved the sprites and Mercia poor Mercia :( she's so precious. The first CG of the baby caught me off guard I was like holy f*ck - then remembered that it is indeed Spooktober. Uriel made me so sad. She tried everything to make her parents happy. It's always the parents like hers that end up with the sweetest kids that just want to do everything they can to please their family. Great work on this game, it was so sad/sweet.
